You can also use the obxml module to easily write pipe menus of your own
in Python.
shared-mime-info-2.4p0 shared mime database for desktops Many programs and desktops use the MIME system to represent the types of
files. Frequently, it is necessary to work out the correct MIME type for
a file. This is generally done by examining the file's name or contents,
and looking up the correct MIME type in a database.

For interoperability, it is useful for different programs to use the
same database so that different programs agree on the type of a file,
and new rules for determining the type apply to all programs.

This specification attempts to unify the type-guessing systems currently
in use by GNOME, KDE and ROX. Only the name-to-type and contents-to-type
mappings are covered by this spec; other MIME type information, such as
the default handler for a particular type, or the icon to use to display
it in a file manager, are not covered since these are a matter of style.

In addition, freedesktop.org provides a shared database in this format
to avoid inconsistencies between desktops. This database has been
created by converting the existing KDE and GNOME databases to the new
format and merging them together.
swish-e-2.4.7p5 web/text search engine Swish-e is a fast, flexible, and free open source system for indexing

launch a single instance application twice, the second instance will
either just quit or will send a message to the running instance.

Unique makes it easy to write this kind of applications, by providing a
base class, taking care of all the IPC machinery needed to send messages
to a running instance, and also handling the startup notification side.

Unique aims to replace the BaconMessageConnection code that has been
copied by many projects and the code using Bonobo and D-Bus.
blueprint-compiler-0.16.0 markup language for GTK user interfaces GtkBuilder XML format is quite verbose, and many app developers don't like using
WYSIWYG editors for creating UIs. Blueprint files are intended to be a concise,
easy-to-read format that makes it easier to create and edit GTK UIs.

Internally, it compiles to GtkBuilder XML as part of an app's build system.
It adds no new features, just makes the features that exist more accessible.

Another goal is to have excellent developer tooling --incl. a language server--
so that less knowledge of the format is required.

AirPlay device. The library presently supports Linux and other POSIX-based
systems. It is written in C using GObject and libsoup. The DMAP family of
protocols are used by products such as Apple iTunes, Apple iPhoto, and the Roku
SoundBridge family to share media such as music and photos.
openbox-3.6.1p15 small, fast & usable window manager Openbox is a standards compliant, fast, light-weight, extensible window
manager.

Openbox works with your applications, and makes your desktop easier to
manage. This is because the approach to its development was the opposite
of what seems to be the general case for window managers. Openbox was
written first to comply with standards and to work properly. Only when
that was in place did the team turn to the visual interface.

Openbox is fully functional as a stand-alone working environment, or can
be used as a drop-in replacement for the default window manager in the
GNOME or KDE desktop environments.
graphene-1.10.8p1 thin layer of graphic data types Graphene contains optimizations for speeding up vector operations,
those optimizations are optional, and used only if both Graphene
was compiled with support for them and if the system you're running
on has them. Currently, Graphene supports the following platform-specific
fast paths:

Streaming SIMD Extensions (SSE) 2 ARM NEON GCC vector extensions
In the remote case in which none of these optimizations are available,
Graphene will fall back to a naive scalar implementation

Graphene can, optionally, provide types for integrating with GObject
properties and signals, as well as introspection information for
its use with other languages through introspection-based bindings.
